A question about : Can I accrue holiday on maternity leave if i'm hourly paid?

As the title says really.

I'm hourly paid and they include holiday pay in my hourly rate, I enter timesheets etc. I am not allowed to take holiday any time off is unpaid. I am however entitled to sick pay/mat pay etc.

I actually work regular hours on my hourly paid contract (slightly odd I suppose) and have done for 5 months and have a letter from the HR manager stating my hours of work per week (as I requested this) but it is NOT on my contract.

A question about : maternity pay and holiday pay.

Myself and my parner are expecting a baby in August so my partner will be taking 9 months maternity from late August.

But she's a little confused if she can take some holiday time off between now without it affecting her maternity pay (both the one paid by her employer and the one paid by the government)

A question about : Tax!!

hi, I'm really hope someone can help. I have been doing extra hours over the past year which has just taken me over the 20% tax threshold for this months pay....which has resulted in me paying a mega amount of tax because I have crept into the 40% tax bracket. Does this mean that my final wage of the year (at the end of March) will be fully taxed at 40% or just a portion of it? I am in panic mode thinking my full gross pay will be taxed at 40% leaving me about Ј600 worse off......I feel ill!

A question about : Pay deduction!

I have a question about a pay deduction I got on my most recent payslip...

During the course of my work last month I broke a wall plug, a general white, plastic white plug probably worth a maximum of Ј3.

For that the employer deducted Ј25!! Although in my contract is saying:

I have spent the last year studying the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, DipPFS, which I completed in November 2014. However, I am having problems trying to get a job in this field and starting to feel that I have wasted my time and money. Any advice from people in this area would be much appreciated.

I have to rely on a lift to work,so I work these hours- im partime working 64 hours plus 9.5 overtime each month.

see below hours/ days I work.

wk 1 mon/thur = 2 days 12.75hrs

wk 2 mon /thur=2 days 12.75hrs

wk 3 mon/thur = 2 days 12.75hrs
( work 3 x weeks total worked =38.25hrs)

wk 4 mon/thur = 2 days 12.75hrs
sat/sun=2 days 22.5 hrs
(work 1x week total worked= 35.25 hrs)
