A question about : 2nd job tax. advice needed please

Hiya if I work two jobs but remain under 10,000 will I still pay no tax? Or will usual 2nd job tax apply? Tried inland revenue website but cant find much. Tia.

• When you first start a second job your employer should complete a starter checklist (similar to the old P46). You'll then be put on a BR tax code so all income from the second in will be takes at 20%.
  However you can then call HMRC and ask them to split your tax code between both jobs so you won't need to pay tax.
  Eg you expect to earn Ј5000 from each job, you can ask HMRC to split your Ј10,000 personal allowance in half between each job.
