A question about : Would like to work in Tesco, Asda etc but no experience...

I'm looking for some advice.

I was just wondering how easy (if at all) it would be to get work in Tesco, Asda etc etc, I have no experience of shop work but would be very willing to do anything.

The only work experience that I do have is just under nine years of office work, and I would really like to do shop floor work, does anyone think that they would even consider me, with no experience.

All help and advice would be much appreciated.

not sure where to post this question, at the moment i am working at asda, but am considering applying to Aldi's.

Now i hear it more money, but also have been told you are self employed etc etc, does anyone work for Aldi? is it a good company to work for?

Earlier today I completed an online 'Talent Screening' on the M&S website. I've been told I passed the first part and now have an assessment booked at the store later on in the week, where I will be given an exercise to see what my customer service skills are like.

A question about : One month in arrears pay?!

Hi - sorry if this is a stupid question. My OH started his new job on 16th June. The company pay one months in arrear. Therefore would get paid at the end of July for part of this month and July or would he have to wait until August?

A question about : Ridiculous tests on Sainsbury's recruitment site

I've recently tried to apply for 2 Sainsbury's jobs, one in store and one as a driver for their grocery deliveries. Both times I was unsuccessful. I was so incensed by the fact that the test questions appeared to be biased to anyone working for Sainsbury’s that I’ve sent a letter of complaint to them which will probably result me being barred in future anyway.

I have researched this topic as much as I can online and still can't find a viable answer.

I understand part time workers must not be treated less favourably than full time workers and that if a FT worker is entitled to 20 days annual leave plus the 8 bank holidays, the PT worker must also be entitled to that pro rata.
