A question about : Mortgage AIP, offer accepted

I'm a first time buyer and have had an offer on a house accepted, been speaking to a mortgage adviser and got an AIP in place.

I have had quotes from solicitors and am going to select one today and let them know. Then I will tell the estate agents who the solicitor is.

Should I be applying for the mortgage now? Or should I wait until I've had the survey done?

A question about : Where would you live? Escape to the country...

In an ideal world where you could work from home and choose to live anywhere, any village/countryside in England/Wales/Scotland where would you live?
As in what part of the country would be your dream town to live in?

A question about : Buy a house before or after second baby?

Hi, I would like some advice on whether we should take a risk or not...I know there are no guarantees but it would be a calculated risk!

So my husband and I have enough money saved for a 10% deposit and the costs of buying a three bed house. We currently rent a two bed for us and our two year old. The baby is due in October.

A question about : Selling a flat noise froom above

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone could give a me a bit of advice.

I live in a ground floor one bedroom flat (about 32 yrs old and not sound proofed) and am thinking about putting it on the market.

I have an elderly neighbour above who I get on with really well.

My problem is the noise from above. It does not really bother me. I can hear my neighbour walking around and opening and closing kitchen doors.

I have been trying to be released my tenancy since December and need some advice on where I stand

Since I have started university my mother has been made redundant meaning I could no longer afford my rent as I depend on her for living costs. when I consulted unite I was told that in order to leave my room I would need to find a replacement tenant, which I did in January and this is where my dispute comes from.

A question about : Shared ownership Mortgages

I'm fed up of renting in a shared house and I'm wanting to make a second attempt at getting on the property ladder through Shared Ownership in the next 12 months.

Due to being on a low income, this is the only way for me to get out of renting, so I understand that it has its disadvantages.

For me the positives are having my own place and privacy as well as owning part of a house rather than nothing at all.

To cut a very long story short i have been having issues with a landlord not returning my deposit which i am disputing. I live in an apartment block which has changed ownership several times.
