A question about : Housing association

Good afternoon. its a bit of a rant and de-spare all in one.
I am just after a bit of advice from anyone that can help. We have been renting our current home for nearly 3 years off our local housing association, we ended up taking a house in a less desirable area due to the housing availability at the time. We both work full time and pay all own rent.

A question about : Selling to buy!

Hi my sister wants to purchase a house she seen advertised, what she wants to know is does she put an offer in before selling her own home and if the offer is accepted then what would she do in the meantime while she is waiting for her house to sell.

Also will the bank/building society give her a new mortgage while she is waiting to sell her house?

The other thing is she currently has a interest only mortgage at the moment but for this new house she would like a repayment mortgage.

A question about : Report and valuation repairs

Im trying to buy a house and having never done it before finding it all a bit confusing.

Got the report back which stated that there might be some damp problems and possibly some electrical work may need done. The bank wont give me a mortgage till ive had these things looked at. My question is, should i be paying for these further inspections and then asking for a reduction in the price or what way is the best?

We are wanting to sell up our lovely shrinking home, but what do I say to people viewing our house when they ask why we are moving? I am not very good at lying but I don't want to make our house sound bad, the real reason is we want more space :-/

Also do people expect you to leave carpets & curtains or is that negotiated after, do they offer a price for them?
