Our Block Management Agency are useless. They also own the freehold. Can we change management agency?

Hi all,

A little help needed on return of a deposit if possible. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

We moved out of our house on the 28th January and still don't know of any deductions to be made to the return of the deposit. This seems like an excessive amount of time to me. We actually ended our tenancy a week early in order to suit the new tenants' move-in date so any assessment of the property would have been done immediately.

I’m more than aware that Bankruptcy can affect the chances of getting a Landlord to take us on.

I went Bankrupt in 2004 and was discharged in 2005. It is no longer on my Credit File as I have checked.

I really need your advice.

I have lived in Spain for 13 years and have returned to live in the UK.

I am lucky to be staying with parents for a week or so but need to find somewhere to live as well as a job and get bank accounts.

Unfortunately, without a bank accout or a permanent address, I cannot get a home and without a home, I cannot get the a job. It is a vicious circle.

I have done a second viewing on a house and put in a offer yesterday. It is a vacant possession (relative died) the EA can't get hold of the vendor! Turns out she spends the winter on holiday! She won't be back until at least 3rd March! Why put a house on the market if you can't be contacted!!! Both her phones go to answer phone and we don't know if she checks email!

I have sold my house and buyers are keen to move! Solicitors are already starting to move. I have low-balled the offer as well so could take a few more days!

A question about : Joint tenancy- housemate not been paying rent

Hey, looking for some advice please.

In July of last year I entered into a joint tenancy with 4 other people. It's a year long tenancy and we'll all be moving out at the end of it. Since the beginning of the year one of my housemates has had money problems and consistently not paid the rent. Obviously she's now built up massive rent arrears (approx Ј1500) and is still failing to cover about half of the rent each month.
