A question about : NatWest processing debits before credits.

A heads up folks.

I just checked up on my accounts on NatWest and noticed something. They do tell you that account transactions can be reversed from the account.

Right at this moment I'm seeing all the debit transactions being fully accepted and processed, but a large credit still waiting to be made `permanant`.

That is darn naughty. I thought the greedy banks would process the credits first, make sure they are done and dusted and THEN process all the debits.

A question about : Santander "Free" Accounts

I received some letters from Santander this morning regarding my free business banking accounts.

They are being switched to Business Everyday Current Accounts on 1st May 2015 - there are no monthly fees and transactions are free within the monthly limits.

However, the account will no longer offer any credit interest - I can't recall if it was one of the original guarantees that the account would offer credit interest for life.

also, after 1st June 2015, we can deposit funds at the Post Office.

I've been with Barclays since I was a wee lad, I currently have their Premier Life package which suits me quite well in spite of the Ј17.50 monthly fee (concierge, RAC, phone insurance, cinema membership etc all go to good use).

So a bit of background, my partner is with TSB and has a standard current account with a visa debit card and Ј300 OD limit.

Now my partner works and bills and so on come out of her account as with most people.

The issue is that say she goes to a TSB and gets a mini statement which shows she has Ј100 available on her card and she then goes into a Tescos and spends Ј10 on her card, she then goes back to a TSB and gets another statement her balance (both available and account) is still Ј100.

A question about : Seller claims to not have received bank transfer funds (Santander to Lloyds)

So I saw this bargain going on eBay for an item that I had wanted for a while, unfortunately the buyer wrote in the description that they only accepted bank transfer. They had over 500 positive feedback and seemed to be a reasonable seller, so I put my trust in them to use bank transfer - lesson learned I should have stuck with PayPal.
