Virgin Mobile Web account: does it reset itself after 3 months?

A question about : Virgin Mobile Web account: does it reset itself after 3 months?

I've had my Virgin Mobile Pay as You Go sim card for more than ten years and I don't want to get rid of it because I'm on the old tariffs which are much better than recent bundles.

Data on Pay As You Go

A question about : Data on Pay As You Go

I am trying to find a mobile phone plan which gives data on a pay as you go basis. The people for whom this is intended currently very rarely use the existing credits on their phone - perhaps Ј5 per month at the very most.

So I'm quite hesitant to sign them up for a monthly contract which may cost Ј15+ per month.

Is there a 3G or 4G data plan which can be included on pay as you go basis along with minutes, totaling no more than around Ј8 per month?

Thanks!

when does a contract start?

A question about : when does a contract start?

If I buy a contract phone and it comes but I do not open the box and use it, does the contract still start from when I purchased it? I found a great deal but I dont want to use my PAC until the the PAC is about to expire in 2 weeks time. I just dont want to be paying for 2 lines for 2 weeks.

Pay Monthly contract via 3rd party

A question about : Pay Monthly contract via 3rd party

Hello,

I'm out of contract and want to sign up for a new iPhone 6 on pay monthly.

The deals offered by 3rd party companies such as Carphone Warehouse and MobilesDirect are significantly better than those available direct from Three, Vodafone, etc.

Is there any down-side to going via a 3rd party supplier or is there a significant risk that they will up their prices mid contract?

Or anything else I should bear in mind?

PAYG phone used as a sim free phone?

A question about : PAYG phone used as a sim free phone?

I have a good sim card only monthly contract and I need a new phone. As pay as you go phones are cheaper than the handset only deals; can I just buy the phone I want under pay as you go under the same network and then just use my contract sim card in that phone?

I'm a bit a confused about this as everytime I go to a shop, they keep trying to make me change to a new contract and I don't want to do that.

Apologies if this is a silly question.

Mobile by Sainsbury's

A question about : Mobile by Sainsbury's

Hi

Looking to move the missus from Tesco due to rubbish O2 reception at home.

Can anyone tell me if Sainsbury's (Vodafone) are 4G enabled?

Looking at their website and it looks like they only do 30 day rolling contracts? No year long option?

Thanks

Due upgrade

A question about : Due upgrade

Hi, I'm due upgrade next week
Currently have iPhone 4s T-Mobile /orange contract Ј34 mth
Looking to reduce monthly outgoings but can't buy a phone upfront.
I can get s5 or new Nokia lumina for less a month
Any views on these please
Also, I'm going to go I to a shop on the upgrade day to look around,do I have to go I to T-Mobile or can I go carphone warehouse? I'm quite happy with T-Mobile but if I changed provider on that day is it quite straightforward? Will shop sort it out? Thanks for any help x
