A question about : MY Xmas 2014 project

Hi all thought I would share this with you. My daughter (16) recently got her first job and has earned herself a lot of money ( Ј600 in bank and paid for a holiday and passport well done her!) but we were concerned that she would go mad on presents at xmas so we decided that we would invoke a rule this year.

We decided that as a family we would only be allowed to spend Ј20 per person on a gift - there really is nothing we need - there is plenty we want but not stuff we need

A question about : no turkey left this year

We got a smaller turkey than normal this year. 5.6kg bird. We bought it from a loal butcher and paid Ј18.99. Bargain of the year I think. There was also 2 extra people staying. So here we are on 27th and all the turkey is gone!! Never been known before in my house, I'm usually freezing left over turkey, dividing the left overs into dinner sized servings and putting in the freezer, but not this year.

A question about : Christmas disasters, any one else have one.

We had it all planned out then it all went wrong .

The kids bought the lergy home from school which I got Tuesday, then my wife got it. I went to bed at about 8 on Christmas eve, tried to get up Christmas day but ended up in bed until about 12:30. Hardly any of the food we got in even got looked at. Boxing day I got up to look after the kids and my wife never got up at all. Luckily the kids are much better.

A question about : Christmas story book for a badly behaved 5 year old

I'm having big problems with my nearly 5 year old and whilst I know that christmas is a temporary stop gap in getting them to behave (he has an older sister), I'd love to get a christmas book that I could read to him that demonstrates the magic of christmas and santa visiting only 'well behaved' children. Something along the lines of the night before christmas would be lovely.

A question about : Section 75 CC Act 1974

I have made a claim under sec. 75 CC act 1974 against my credit card company for full repayment of about Ј2500 for pre paid holidays abroad. I paid a deposit on cc and sent the rest by money transfer .
I have used one of the four weeks bought.Can I claim the full Ј2500 from the cc company or will the settlement be pro rata?
The company that I bought the weeks from has become insolvent
