A question about : Can husband apply for DRO without my wage being considered?

My husband has debts of Ј10,000 and wants to apply for a DRO as he is a stay at home father to our son and has no income at all. Only thing that worries us there is no information about if my wages will be taken into account? I earn Ј1379 per month after tax and this pays for everything. I've even been paying his debts leaving us skint and hungry.

A question about : IVA question

Hi all

I am nearly 12 months into my IVA and things are going well.

I have a wife and 2 young children and our car (2002 Ford Focus) is on it's last legs. A friend of the family wants to give us his car (08 VW Polo) as he is elderly and no longer uses it.

As the car is small we would look to trade this in for something a bit bigger but around the same price.

My question is how would this affect the IVA ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, could anybody help me please, i entered into my iva in 2011, im coming up to month 54 . this is what ive copyed from my paperwork For the purposes of my proposal, I have included an amount representing 85% of my current interest in the
property.
In month 54 of my arrangement, (normally 6 months from the end of the arrangement) an open market valuation
will be carried out on the property by an independent professional valuer.

A question about : RIP OFF ON CAR INSURANCE (c.a.r.s debt )

My situation is a little more confusing and in need of some assistance, i took out a car insurance with a company called “policy wise” who are absolutely s**t. Now upon speaking to a colleague they wanted to increase my insurance due to misleading information. I was not impressed by this due to the fact that they were charging me high amounts of money per month.

A question about : IVA but need new boiler

My friend is on an IVA with DFD and pays Ј130pm after recent review. He has contacted them with the issue of his boiler which needs replacing. Its his only form of heating/hot water.

The suggest borrowing the money from friends though they won't drop the Ј130pm so he can pay it back as they say this amount is already the minimum allowed.

They asked for a quote from British Gas which he has for Ј3500 (way over the odds in my opinion) but they expect him to get it fitted then argue the toss with BG afterwards for payment.

A question about : What is a 'whole mortgage Broker'?

Having completed our IVA in April 2014 we have been working on clearing up credit files (that has not been an easy process!). We would like to move house and obtain a fresh mortgage, I keep seeing on here apply to a 'whole broker' - not sure what that means or where to find one - our current mortgage is with Northern Rock (or whatever they are called nowadays). Could anyone advise please
