A question about : What is a 'whole mortgage Broker'?
Having completed our IVA in April 2014 we have been working on clearing up credit files (that has not been an easy process!). We would like to move house and obtain a fresh mortgage, I keep seeing on here apply to a 'whole broker' - not sure what that means or where to find one - our current mortgage is with Northern Rock (or whatever they are called nowadays). Could anyone advise please
Thankyou
Best answers:
- One who can choose from mortgages in the whole market i.e. are not tied to an individual organisation. For example, a Santander mortgage broker is only in a position to offer Santander mortgages.
- Thankyou for answering - so how do I know who one of those is - where do I find one?
Thankyou - Type "Mortgage Broker" in a yellow pages or google search and your area, ask them if they are whole of market and if they have placed a mortgage for an ex iva'er in the last 6 months.
Good lucks ! - Thankyou for your reply
