A question about : Boiler condemned and in an IVA ... what next?

I'm hoping that someone can give me some advice please? We had our ancient boiler serviced yesterday (fitted in 1969!), and told that we need to save for a new boiler - fast. The guy who serviced it is a trusted family friend fully qualified gas engineer, so when he says it needs to be replaced, it needs to be replaced! He's managed to keep this thing going for years but it's had it's day and needs to go before it kills us.

I wonder if anyone can help me with my query. I just got off the phone to the Insolvency Service and the man I spoke to didn't seem too sure. (Which doesn't do much for my confidence level seeing it is that organisation that passes the DRO)!

My wife and I are currently 2 years into a 6 year IVA. We are adhering to all the requests made of us by our IVA provider and have recently returned a new I&E for our annual review which would indicate a slight increase is likely.

A question about : Payplan remortage advice needed please

Hi,

My husband is in an IVA and we are due to go through the releasing of equity this year and just have a couple of queries regarding this.

1. Is it true that when we go for the re mortgage it cannot go over the term of our exsiting mortgage e.g. ours ends in 9 years and 3 months.

2. The amount of the remortgage cannot be more than our exsiting mortgage payment and half the amount of what we are paying into our IVA?

A question about : IVA settlement creditors meeting

Hi

We agreed with our IVA on the 25sep that they had all the paperwork required to make a proposal of a one off fee to settle.

Since then I have asked on several occasion when this meeting would take place as I was told 28 days to gather all the creditors. It is now November and I am still waiting of a date for the meeting between IVA and creditors.
I was told on the 2nd of oct it would take 3 weeks

Everytime I ask they reply there is a backlog of 3/4 weeks and we should hear something soon.

A question about : Can I check if PPI has been claimed?

I finished my IVA in Sept 2013 and just wondered if I should be checking with them for any PPI that they may have claimed, simply because I was told by Grant Thornton that I was entitled to 8% of any claims.

Do they have to tell me if they have successfully claimed any, or is it up to me to chase them?

Apologies if this is in the wrong location; i havent really posted previously.

I have currently completed 3 years of my IVA; which i feel was probably the wrong option for me from the outset but never mind!

My IVA company has changed (sold) and the new company are awful to deal with even though i am fully paid up and not in any arrears with my plan.

My circumstances have changed in terms of income and i would really prefer to manage my debts myself. I find this new company so stressful to deal with and not sympathetic at all.
