IVA & DRO

A question about : Debt Free Direct Rip Off Merchants!!

Been in an IVA for 2 years with this firm and I had to cancel back in July 2014 because of soaring payments and the fact that they had taken my Disability Living Allowance as income.

Reported them to the Insolvency Practitioners for their behaviour and for the IVA failing beyond my control.

Today I got a Variation Report through the post and I am furious and appalled at this firm.

I have paid in a total of Ј2790.

Debt Free Direct's fees will wipe out what I have been paying.

A question about : IVA & Mortgages

I started my IVA in September 2007 and it was completed in 2012, there was nothing on my credit file and just wasn't sure but we went to a local broker who was dubious but we were approved and have been in our new house now for 2 weeks and I finally have my name on the mortgage.
Just thought I would post to say it is possible and can be done so don't give up hope.

A question about : Got my DRO application but now income changed

Hi, I have applied for me DRO and got the form back with a barcode to take to the post office and pay the Ј90.

However my income and outgoings have just changed, shall I do it anyway on my last numbers, then tell the O.R. my new numbers?

Or start all over again with the accurate numbers?

A question about : Home being sold

My husband has been told by HMRC that we have to sell our home by 1st March or it will be auctioned.
I have repeatedly asked them to review our case but no one seems to listen at all.
As we can raise the majority of the debt, why can they not consider that we pay them that and pay the remainder off over a few months as we have been doing?
It seems so insane to take a families home through no deliberate fault of their own and make a sole trader bankrupt thus making unable to work.

My daughter having got into financial difficulties has decided after much thought to apply for a DRO as she cannot manage the payments necessary for an IVA on her meager benefits income.

I have just received an unexpected tax bill for Ј5000 which I feel is going to be very difficult to pay I am a home owner and self employed .
I have an unsecured loan for Ј10000 and credit card bills of Ј10000 I am just about managing to make the payments on all payments but feel this latest bill might make me look towards seeking an iva or declaring bankruptcy.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice.

A question about : IVA

After a few weeks of detailed paperwork, courier meetings and nail biting I received a call just 15 minutes after the set time for the creditors meeting to say proposal accepted with no modifications.

Ј42k of debt - Ј156.00 per month for the next 60 months.

I first spoke to Debt Support Trust who then passed my case to Varden Nuttall who did the rest, neither Debt Support Trust or Varden Nuttall charged me for their services.
