A question about : Project Solar Experiences?

Hi All,

This is my first post, so bear with me. I've had Project Solar come to visit me to give me a quote for solar panels.

I was wondering if anyone has had any previous experience with this company? Everything seems on the up and up but I've had my fingers burned in the past.

With the rising energy prices, I feel as though solar panels are a no brainer and I'm future proofing myself.

We have a south facing roof -2 quotes for 16 panels varying
Ј10,000 to Ј12,000

LG panels and Sharp panels.

Any companies to avoid?

A question about : do i still get the same FIT putting pv on a house i let out? and is it taxed

As above if I was to put a 4kw system on a house i own and let out would i still get the same FIT tax free or would it be classed as a commercial system? If i can is there a limit to the ammount of FIT accounts i can have tax free?

The combination of a small ASHP(Air/Air) with Solar pv seems to be a valid pairing of complementary technologies which has been raised a number of times on this forum.

The idea of this thread is to encourage discussion of this combination in order to validate what an appropriate equipment specification would look like in order to maximise performance benefits in a typical domestic environment.

I have been thinking about fitting solar panels for a while now and have just had a quote from a company Euro Energy Services in Harrogate. Here are the details:
I live in a 4 bedroom detached single,work 4 days a week(house vacant during the day.
The quote has the following points
4 KWp estimated to yield 3336 WKH
feed in tariff 13.88p
export tariff 4.77p
16 x 250w enphase solar panels black
40 degrees from south ,no shading

I am thinking of getting solar, does anyone know the benefits? Does it actually make and save money? I will probably get it interest free (I hope) lol...
Would be great to get some advice.
