A question about : SolarX inverter vs SMA inverter?

Hello

Anyone have an opinion about quality of these inverters?
Or using German panels vs Canadian vs Chinese?

Had following quotes so far:

We have been told we can fit 13 panels on our roof.

QUOTE 1:

13 x 300W LG Mono all black panels
Solar X1 3600T inverter
Eco-Eye smart PV monitor
South facing roof - pitch angle of 45 degrees
Shading factor of 1.0
Predicted annual output 3,326.7 kWh
Irradiance zone 10
Irradiation level 853
20 yr FIT income of Ј19,643.91

Total cost is Ј6295

QUOTE 2

This company is visiting property tonight

14x 270W Trina panels
SMA inverter
GEO monitor

Total cost Ј5495

What do you think?

Is it worth asking them about 330W panels?

Thanks again for everyone's help!

Best answers:

  • I think the majority of panels used in the UK are produced by China and I think Yingli and then Trina were the biggest supplier of panels when I was doing my research in 2013.
I also have a SMA inverter which is a well known make within the solar PV world. However there seem to be more and more makes and models coming onto the market. SMA do have a good reputation but I haven't heard of the SolarX
