A question about : S Manchester Solar Recommendations

OK, First off:
Can Anyone Recommend a good solar installer in the S Manchester/Warrington Area?

I've got a couple of quotes, which, from reading the MSE forums seem rather high (Ј6.5K and 7.9K for a 4kwp system, 30 deg S facing roof, unshaded), so I'm going to get some another quote or two (hence 1st question) but I did wonder about peoples thoughts on added extras which are being pushed at me:

We are due to have a SolarPV installed in the next few weeks and signed up today ... Is it possible to use some of the extra energy provided to charge batteries or similar to run the house or certain products in the house ?
How and what would it cost ? Nothing drawing too much power say 1000w maximum , i'm sure we could set up a system like you get in a caravan ?

Up until recently i have sold all my old HP printer cartridges on eBay. I have now realised tho' that as my printer is so 'old', they are no longer salable.

A question about : Geo Solo II not logging after current day

Hi Guys!

I have a Geo Solo II and when i log in to the energy note website it displays live stats for today, but nothing from earlier. As soon as i click on analysis and go to yesterday there is no data.

There is no data back 2 weeks now when it seems to have stopped logging. The base unit thing is powered on and connected to the internet (It must be to display todays stats!)

Any idea whats going on?

2. Nuke it for about 10 seconds, like the above method but faster.
