A question about : 'Weird' Postings

These crop up from time to time and they're usually random extracts from other webpages which have been machine-pasted here in order to build up a 'score' for the poster who can (eventually) then post spam links here.

I'm sure there are enough of us here who realise the situation and can just hit the spam button.

Adding comments (even what a load of spam ) to the thread might slow down the process of auto-deletion.

I am starting a new adventure....ie we are moving to a smallholding in a rural area, and would have the opportunity to install solar panels as well as a small wind turbine set up (good average annual wind speed).

I have read up on PV panels and the FITS and would like to have a 4kW system installed on our south facing unobstructed roof.

A question about : Unexpected things that can be composted

I've discovered that most washing up gloves are made from latex and can be composted (a few are plastic however), and that many vacuum cleaner bags (the paper ones with a latex dust seal at the opening) can also be composted when full of dust and hair.

So, I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any other unexpected things that can be composted?

A question about : GEC Meter >>> logo like a swastika

There is a small symbol on my domestic household electricity meter. It resembles a swastika (see below). Does that symbol indicate that it has an anti-reversal feature? What would be the name of the feature that stops meters going backwards?

Sensor 1 and Sensor 2 appear to be on the same wire. Does the distance apart matter? Can the sensors touch each other other?

A question about : Outdoor inverter

Has anyone else got their inverter outside the house or exposed to the elements?

When we had our panels installed I wanted the inverter outside as I was concerned the loft would get too hot in summer. I built a box to cover it with air gaps to circulate but protected from rain.
