Hello, hope this is in the correct place.
I currently work under 16 hours and I claim jsa. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I'm having a bad flare.. if I have a couple of weeks off on the sick do I need to stop claiming jsa? (My boss pays ssp)

A question about : maternity leave.

My partner has just arranged her maternity leave with her employer for late august of this year, her boss has given her a booklet with all the details in it and it mentions along the lines of ' if you go on leave for 26 weeks you Will be given your old job back, however if you take more (she's planning g on taking 39 weeks) we will seek to find you a job, this may be elsewhere in the company.

A question about : problems with references?

I am currently looking for work, but i think i have stumbled upon a bit of a problem that i hope can be resolved here.

Basically: the problem revolves around references. The problem being is that: my previous employer (the one i have not long left) i'm fairly sure isn't in the best place to offer one, as i had to sue the company for my wages (long story). and being a one man band (well, it is now) there will be resentment.

I have been unemployed for about 4 months now after returning to the country after living and working abroad for 7 years. I would like to know if its worthwhile signing on at the job centre? Do they actually help you find suitable jobs/interviews because reading around on the internet it seems they dont offer much help at all? I dont need the JSA as im luckily living with family at the moment. Am i just better off doing what im doing now by searching for jobs online through Indeed and Reed etc?

Hello People,

I worked here for 4 weeks and the first 2 weeks were great I was told how good I was progressing and how much of a hard worker I was.

After the 2nd week a trainer that was on sick had returned. I for some reason unknown to me had to re train again. Suffice to say the training was exactly the same as the 1st training session and I was told nothing new at all. Except my target score went down instead of up.
