A question about : A bit confused

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help explain something. My daughter was told by someone from a welfare rights group that under the DLA system she'd qualify for lower/middle rate, but because it's now PIP she'd get nothing so he said it wasn't even worth the effort to try.

I just can't understand why under one system she'd get help and under the other it's just tough luck.

A question about : Support options for dd

I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice about supporting my adult daughter.

I have a young adult daughter who has a mental illness. DD lives alone in a rented flat in the same town as me. She won't leave the flat without me and over the years has become more isolated from her friends as their lives have moved on to careers/ partners/ their own children etc.

I work full time in a very demanding job and that alone is a huge struggle for me as I have two long term disabilities. .

A question about : Pip assessment this morning

New so please bare with me .. Assessment was this morning . they never turned up last Friday . it was over two hours long!!! .My daughter already has Dla , high rate care, and low mobility it is till march 2015

A question about : PIP..Is there some truth.

Has anyone heard anything in regards to PIP and 'noise being made that it's going to become means tested'.
Another member made the comment on the benefits & tax credits board but I'm unable to find any other info.

I have Phonak q90-312 bte hearing aids and want to order a Phonak compilot& tv link s bundle. These are for personal use and there is a option in checkout to buy vat free, is this ok or do i have to be registered to get these sort of products vat free

A question about : Brown envelope of doom..

My OH is half way through a 5 year DLA award; LRM, MRC.

Their mobility and care needs have changed, so we thought long and hard about putting in for a change..

We put in for a change in November and today the dog brought the post to me and there it was.. the brown envelope of doom.

We paused and opened it slowly... and have been awarded full.

No medical, no extra info requested. Just what we wrote on the forms.
