After 6 years of pain and numerous tests to rule out different things I have now been diagnosed with 8 disc bulges. Is it worth me applying for a disability benefit?

Is there anyone who has applied for PIP since it was introduced able to let me know what happens at an assessment interview please? I have read the points system and understand how the points are applied. i am wondering how they get the info for this, whether it is the specific questions as per the points system or more free-range, so to speak? Thanks.

A question about : Child dla backlog help please!

Hello everyone, my childs dla is due to expire in a few days time. I sent the renewal in mid september. She is currently on both high rate care and mobility and her needs havent changed. I sent in various doctors, ot reports etc. Phoned today for an update and was told that there is a backlog of 5 weeks.

A question about : DLA and PIP for a child

Hello,
My daughter gets DLA and was reassessed in December with this new award expiring August 2016.
I have had a letter saying in April (when she turns 16) she will need to apply for PIP and does she need an appointee.

My questions are:-

Why does she need to claim an adult benefit in her own name when by law she must stay in full time education or an apprenticeship etc until she is 18. I am confused over whether my daughter is classed as an adult or a child at 16.
