Coming off DLA

A question about : Coming off DLA

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of coming off DLA voluntarily?

I've been receiving Higher Rate Mobility and Lower Rate Care for 3 years, and recently have been lucky enough to have a substantial improvement in my health. I've advised DLA about my change in circumstances and was wondering what happens now?

Thanks in advance.

The reason I ask - its on behalf of my father, - he went into hospital with a blockage in the bowel, but when they opened him up to remove the blockage they found cancer, and as such they have removed over 90% of the bowel and (hopefully) all the cancer... and ended up with a stoma and the bag,,,
