I just wondered if anyone knew where my sister could get help filling in this form. The CAB don't have any appointments in time and neither do the local disability service. It does say you can contact your local Job Centre for help but she's worried they won't be very sympathetic as she's had problems with them before. Thanks.

A question about : PIP Mobility Component for SMI

Hi,

I have the lovely task of completing the PIP form for my son this weekend. His DLA ends on his 18th birthday in May.

I've asked his social worker, transition support worker at school, and Dr and PIP is new to all of them.

I remember reading something about the mobility component for Severe Mental Impairment - obviously now i'm doing the form, goggle isn't finding any info for me.

Hi, I've been asked accompany someone with mental health issues who is having an assessment. Can someone point me in the direction of guidance on what I can and can't do to support them?
I don't know anything about PIP, but I need to know if and when I can step in and say things on their behalf, for example if they're not giving the full answers they put on the claim form.
Any help appreciated.

A question about : How Much For A Good PA?

I'm looking to employ someone through the direct payment scheme, and was advised by my social worker to pay my PA around Ј8-Ј9 a hour.

But was wondering what is the going rate for a good one? I'd rather find someone good who does the job well and pay them more, than try to get one cheap and they do a poor job.
