Help! Council tax rebanding issue.

A question about : Help! Council tax rebanding issue.

Hello,
Recently, our property has had a council tax rebanding from band C to band B, as directed by the VOA. Bradford council have overcharged us from 1993 to present day, and we are seeking to get a refund of the overpayments we made. Bradford council have told us that they are only liable to pay us for the last 6 years, as they are using the 'Statute of limitations act'.

Mis-sold mortgage claims

A question about : Mis-sold mortgage claims

Hi Everyone

This is my first time posting, I've read lots of posts but never done one myself.

I had a phone call from a company saying that because I have taken out a mortgage via a mortgage broker/adviser I may be eligible to claim for the mis-selling of this mortgage because we were advised to self-certify and also take an interest only mortgage.

A question about : Natwest re-mortgaged on incorrect LTV & failed to suggest a survey

Experts

I purchased a repossessed property [at a lower market value] in March 2010.

Some mortgage timelines are as below before I explain my question.

Lender - Natwest
Application - first time
Date - March 2010
Mortgage period - 2 years fixed
LTV - 85%

Now when the above deal expired I remortgaged with same lender.

27 years of direct debits

A question about : 27 years of direct debits

This is probably a non starter, but...
I am executor for my late father's estate.
Whilst going through his papers I found a credit agreement dated 1987 for the purchase of a water softener.
The agreement was for 36 months of Ј17.42 payed by direct debit, giving a total of Ј627.12.
According to his bank statements this amount was payed every month until his death last year- giving a rough total payed of Ј5644.08 (27x12x17.42). An overpayment of over Ј5000!

Mortgage Fees/Charges

A question about : Mortgage Fees/Charges

Hi

Does anyone know if the practice of attempting to regain fees charged (when a mortgage is taken out) an arrangement fee is available?

I have been contacted by a finance company who say that they could get me back all arrangements fees and other fees paid on my mortgages. Having changed mortgage product a number of times over the years (to get a better interest rate) then I would have paid a fee each time. Can I get this back now?
