A question about : Legal redress against Bank's minimum mortgage rate

Does anyone have any leads for contesting my Bank's right to impose a minimum lending rate of 4.5%?? This is a detail in my mortgage contract but I am hoping that it can be considered unreasonable since the Bank's only answer when I questioned them about it was that no one thought that interest rates would ever go below 4.5%:confused:

I'm not sure if anybody else has experienced this before and wanting some advice.

I booked a flight with netflights.com on 17/04/09 for Manchester (UK) to Kuala Lumpur with Emirates and paid Ј1348 for two people.

Today (02/05/09) out of curiosity I checked the same flight and it has gone down to Ј1192.20 which is a huge reduction of Ј156.80.

Paid my account smoothly up to date. Pay at the end of every month usually around Ј80. I emailed them regards to March payment stating that I could only afford Ј30 and would continue, due to financial hardship, pay them Ј30 a month for 3 months from when I will then review.

I had to threaten them with legal action and set them a deadline to respond by. This seemed to do the trick.

They have finally paid me back my Ј99 admin fee.

A question about : Excessive Broker Fee for Secured Loan

Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've recently started reclaiming for mis-sold PPI on loans and credit cards that I used to have. Whilst looking for this paperwork I've found a credit agreement from 2006 which states I paid a Ј500 broker fee for a loan secured on my property. Does this fee seem excessive to you? Could I complain about it andtry to claim it back? The secured loan is paid back now so would I contact the broker and express my dissatisfaction or is it a no-hoper?

Hi, my partner and I got our first mortgage back in June 2006. Being young and inexperienced in such matters, we pretty much signed up for everything Northern Rock threw at us. We have already successfully claimed back the PPI insurance that was sold alongside the mortgage but now I'm wondering about our life insurance policies with Legal & General.
