A question about : Mis sold MPPI in 2001 by Bradford and Bingley- help

When we took out our first mortgage in March/April 2001 we went to a financial adviser at Bradford and Bingley who settled us with Santander. We discussed PPI but as we were both self-employed we refused it. I have a copy of the letter we received from the FI stating he discussed it with us but that we “ did not wish to take it further”.

A question about : Reclaiming Mortgage PPI

My husband took out a mortgage in 1995 (before we were married). He was self employed at the time and still is. The mortgage is still running and as we are thinking of selling the property, he mentioned that he had been sold PPI. He was told he had to have the PPI if he wanted the mortgage.

A question about : Council Tax rebanding- off to tribunal

Hi all, can anyone out there help with this:-
We bought a new build which was advertised and sold as a band C property. After a few months the council raised it to a band D. After several letters and e-mails, there is still no satisfactory outcome ( they refuse to reduce, we refuse to accept their excuses) so we are off to a tribunal.
Has anyone been to a tribunal, what should I expect? how should I prepare, what do I need to know?
Any advice is gratefully received.

I had a Barclay's Additions account, wasn't aware of charges until I queried them in 2007, immediately changed account with no charges, after reading article on this site wrotevto Barclay's to complain refunded charges back to 1996 plus 8% interest over Ј1700 minus tax, as part of complaint also complained about overdraft protection charges had to complete seperate complaint and PPI questions but got a further Ј450 refund paid, all this straight into my Barclay's

A question about : Mortgage arrangement fees

Hi

I've just had a call from the company claim and gain saying that I am entitled to claim back all the interest that has been added to my mortgage for arrangement fees. Can't seem to find if this is true and now I am worried as the took my credit card details and said they will add Ј3200 onto my card and if I don't have a claim will refund it and if I do have a claim then theyi can pay it off with money I get. Anybody else heard of this.

A question about : Reclaiming from Skills Train

Hi, I know this has been covered in the past but I cannot find any recent threads...My partner signed up for a web design course with Skills Train around 4 or 5 years ago but the finance agreement was in my own name. We didn't pay for a while due to the course being nonsense and the 'debt' was signed over to Cabot finance. Can we still reclaim as the course was mis sold as has already been proven in the past? We are still paying this off but my partner has not been contacted regarding the course for more than 3 years now.

A question about : Insurance PPI question

I have just received a letter from my life insurance company. This critical insurance was set up by Lloyds bank to run alongside my mortgage. I assumed it was for critical illness only until I received the letter stating I was paying a premium on this insurance for sickness which meant if I was off work sick I could could make a claim. I never knew I had this, I never asked for it either. Can I make a claim.
