Please can someone give me advice with regards to the following as we are just a bit puzzled?

My husband had an accident at work in 2010 and then shortly after started to pursue a personal injury claim with a no win no fee specialist injury lawyer company. They have had some fairly positive testimonials and recommendations from past clients etc..So we thought we would be in safe hands so to speak.

Quickone from me – has anyone ever recovered court summon fees from their council?

Shortstory is that we received a letter saying we had been summoned to court havingreceived no previous letters and were ordered to pay Ј130 court fees.

Isthis lawful?

Live in council house baxi back boiler and fire was fitted just before i moved in 12yrs ago.

Serviced every year although this yr it did struggle to get threw the smoke bomb test and young engineer lad got on phone to office, he then did something to boiler then passed it.

I have been contacted by clear law solicitors saying I have a potential claim against ocwen or igroup for loans I had taken out between 1995 & 1998 they say they have successfully challenged these loans on the basis that the brokers who recommended the loans were tied to one lender and received a secret commission from the lender they are happy to do this on a no win no fee but if I win they will charge 35% plus vat if they are correct could I not claim myself and save money

I moved into my house 18 years ago and after about 5 years a neighbour pointed out that about a third of the houses in the street were in the lower band, and my house should be too.
My house is original to the build in the 1930s ( no attic or garage conversion, no extension) and has one of the smallest gardens. We bought it in 1997 for Ј169000.

A question about : Bizarre Council Tax Bill

My council tax is In the region of Ј1150. Minus a single occupancy discount that puts me at a little under Ј900 (for ease let's say 890). My end of Jan payment covered the last of my outstanding amount. Recently I've stopped becoming eligible for the single occupancy discount, so I filled in a change of circumstance form online to inform the council.
