Martin, I do not know if this is a money saving idea but it is a world energy crises saving. Have you heard of the yes2wind campaign?

Thinking about mounting a wind generator on the side of the house using

All the figures seem to add up. 1/3rd off electricity bill. Ј60 per year back off government for using renewable resource and even the possibility of a grant for the install which would further reduce the cost.

I reckon less than 5yrs for payback which is better than solar panels.

I even don't mind the look.

Hi all, with energy prices going up it seems the wise option and enviromentally sound one would be to invest in photovoltaic solar panels. I am in the process of working out the money needed to invest, grants available and ultimatly the point at which i come into profit!

Has anyone signed up for their pc to be used for the global wamring experiment, as in last nights programme about global warming on bbc four? It sounds really interesting, like something small we can all do to contribute to work on global warming.
