A question about : Suspended During Grievance

Hi, I am wondering if you smart cookies can offer me advice.

A question about : Exploitation and no lunch hour.

So I did my first day on the job without pay - voluntary for about 4 weeks. But, the boss is a slave-driver for sure and doesn't allow his staff a lunch hour. The women who work there are allowed to stand at the till drinking a cup of tea and eating a piece of toast. But only once. I cannot cope with their 'banter' and sexual innuendo.

A question about : I start a Work Placement

Just got a letter from Learn Direct Employability in the post provided by Job Centre, I start a work placement on 18.02.2014 at Open Door furniture Recycling, Burnley at 9.30am!

I have no idea why I have been put on this, I already did a placement with them a few years ago. also it states on the letter that if I don't attended then I will get my Job seekers stopped/sanctioned as its mandatory.

Just being nosey really... am studying AAT at the moment and don't work in an accounts role so will need to find a job at some point soon - just wondered what everyone does and started out as, and what qualifications you have?

A question about : Being a senior assistant- makes no sense.

It makes no sense that someone should be a senior assistant as you are not a manager or team leader, as far as I can tell it seems a meaningless title to have.

A question about : Work Programme

How many people are on it here and do the 'providers' pay for your travel to and from their site?

I have looked up the company who is doing it in my area yet they are not even in my borough so a totally different area really and they are 7 miles away so I can't walk there.
