A question about : Probing Questions from Employment Agencies

Employment Agencies like to data harvest. They will push you and make you think that you must divulge information about yourself.

The truth is they don't need this information at all and it is against the law for them to force you into providing this information without sufficient reason.

A question about : shift change

Hi
At the moment I work Monday to Friday 8 hour shifts with the odd weekend to cover holidays.

The company I work for are thinking of changing this to 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts.

I think my contract just says 42 hours a week

How much notice would they have to give us for this change, would it be 3 months ?

Just a quick question: when a shift finishes (for example an 8 hour shift), what is the legal number of hours rest that an employee is entitled to before their next 8 hours shift begins?

This is driving me mad - I have trailed through all job agencies in the Essex area but unable to find many that take on building workers - i.e. for painters/handypersons. Has anyone been successful in finding building work through an agency - permanent position ? or do they just advertise in the newspapers - thank you :confused:
