I have recently changed my bank account to Santander 123 from Lloyds. Can I keep my Lloyds Platinum credit card now I no longer have a current account with them?

How do I get back onto the Credit Ladder?

Lots of people wonder how it is possible to get onto the credit ladder if, for instance, they have had adverse data registered against them or have just turned 18 or have never had a requirement for credit in the past - whatever the reason, one question remains outstanding which is 'how can I get onto the credit ladder'?

A question about : Can I Transfer my Balance to a Family Member's Credit Card?

Hi

I am currently out of work, and have a credit card balance of around 2700 on an interest free card.

The interest free period will run out in next couple of months. A family member has offered to help me, and apply for another interest free card, in order to transfer the balance.

The question is, would I even be allowed to transfer the balance, if the new card is not in my name?

A question about : Vanquis Increases / Statements

Hello All,

I recently got accepted for a Vanquis Card and was wondering if people could inform me of there start limits and their increases. Also if you pay in full? I know I have bugged most of the Vanquis holders on here, and thank them for there advice.

Also when was the last time you recieved a statment? Haven't recieved one yet.....

capital one say they will increase there limit after the 4th statement which alot of people have confirmed what im trying to find out is whether they increase it again if so please include

2......by how much
3......how many increases

A question about : Egg Policy Change ?

Just had a letter from Egg today (followed by an uninformative phone conversation). Theyre ending my use of my card with them, after 10? years based on credit profile of this account...

The problem is my credit rating from Experian is excellent, Ive never missed a payment with them and I pay off the debt each month....so wheres the problem?

The only thing I can think of is that they tell me this decision follows Citibanks takeover of Egg.

A question about : Nationwide Soft-Search

Hi Guys

I recently did a Nationwide soft (i.e. only to point of quote) application - for both a credit-card (potentially want a 0% card) and loan (just out of curiosity).

I read on another thread that if you got quoted 24.9%APR for their loans, you would be declined once the hard (i.e. fully scored) check was done. This was because 24.9% was the highest APR the system could quote and meant a too low score. My loan quotes varied between 8-12% (depending on amount and term), so seem ok.
