A question about : Egg Money Rate Increase to 16.9%

I've just received an email informing me that the rate on their Egg Money card is to increase from the current 12.9% to 16.9% as from 6th March 2009. Those who have the card may recall that the rate increased from 7.9% to 12.9% in August 2008. I'm just glad that I am able to pay off my full balance at the end of every month, otherwise the !!!!!!s would be screwing me royally!

A question about : the new egg money card

Have just applied for the new egg money card thingy but am abit annoyed - it gave me an apr at 15.9% instead of the decent 6.9% what can I do? can i appeal? why are they not giving me 6.9? i have a decent credit history (or so i thought) - are they quite strict? they also only gave me a limit of Ј1800.

A question about : Barclaycard fraud

Hello MoneySavers,
I found out today that 5 fraudulent transactions totalling ~Ј2600 have been made on the new Barclaycard that replaced my Morgan Stanley card last month. 4 in Taiwan and one in Milan on the same day. The only thing I've ever done with this card is change the PIN at a nearby cash machine then bring it home and put it back in the drawer. Could I really have not noticed a dodgy device on the machine?!:confused: It was dark at the time...

A question about : Rate Jacking Sucesses/failures

I've been an Egg customer since I was at Uni and they'd always been pretty good. Just lately though (I believe they'd been taken over by Citibank) their service has gone completely downhill.

I had a number of Egg products (Home Insurance, Car Insurance, Egg Card, Egg Savings, Egg Loan).

A question about : Got an MBNA C/C Written Off

Took it out March 2008 under the impression that they offered a guarenteed maximum repayment of only Ј25 per month for the first year NO MATTER WHAT the outstanding balance was - 0% APR. I took it out, clarified with the sales team that the Ј25 deal was real - was told YES in no uncertain terms...

came to the first months payment - Ј212.00. Made a complaint by phone, was told it was only the case on the first month but the other months from then on would only be Ј25.
