A question about : What happens if............

you apply for a card, agree a BT with them etc but do not sign the consent form when it arrives?

I have applied for MBNA card (first time customer) and they have hit me with a Ј35 transfer fee, I questioned it but got nowhere. All I want to do now is do away with them. In fact I want to do away with credit card tarting - I'm tired of being conned/misled. Barclaycard gave me Ј1200 credit limit and now MBNA have given me Ј3000 at 0% for 9 months and a Ј35 fee.

A question about : Credit card balance transfer can you help?

A couple of months ago I opened a 0% interest account with MBNA and transferred the balance of my other card.

I use my other card for purchases as this is a cheaper rate. My question is, can I now transfer the latest balance of my other card and not pay interest or would the offer only have been for the original balance transfer when I opened the account?

I believe the 0% interest was for about 9 months.

A question about : overdraft balance transfers

(sorry Ive posted this in the loans and debt section but felt it might be more appropriate here)

I graduated a year ago and have an overdraft with abbey of Ј1600 which they are calling in completely on 1 September (they're playing on small print(which i should have noticed)and won't budge at all on this).

I don't have the funds to pay any significant amount of that sum in the next month or so ..

Just a warning if you want to do a balance transfer to Goldfish.....

6 weeks ago I applied for one of their credit cards so I could move a balance with a closing 0% deal. I was sent notification I could have one on 16/7/04.

As of today I have no card and more importantly no BT.

They tell me they have absolutely no idea when the BT or card will appear. They have a 'backlog'.

Needless to say I have given on them.

A question about : Barclaycard & IF: More lost money

Just off the phone from Barclays, to say I'm livid understates it >

4-weeks ago (just before going on hols) I arranged a bal transfer from my new BCard to my IF card. As happened to Finish Rich, as described in his post, this money never arrived.

I rang BCard on Sunday to query this and they said they'd look into it and get back to me.

A question about : Dont use your EGG Card

Hi all

done a search but can't find this... sorry if its been posted.

Over past 18 months I have had an egg card and not really used it at all.

On two separate occasions I have received emails saying spend Ј50 by XXX and we will give you Ј10.

I've checked my statements and I got a credit in March and have just had another email saying the same.

A question about : MBNA rate increase

MBNA are trying to bully me into paying more money. My APR has risen from 12.9% to 24.9% in one month. I would love to tell then where to stick it but I can't get any other credit.

I have complained twice but they are not interested.

Any suggestions?
