Hi Martin, the Daybreak website has a major typo on it;

- The new system only affects those STARTING university or college in September 2011
- Existing students and those starting in September 2011 stick with the current system

The first bullet should read 2012 (I hope!)

You mention that the current fees are Ј3,290, but for 2011 they are going to be Ј3375, we don't want students coming in September thinking they will be getting charged the lower amount.

A question about : Part-time Student, Part-time Employed

Hey all.

So I've been trying to find out as much info as I can and I still have some further questions so I thought this would be a good place for some advice.

A question about : Student loan entitlement and changes in household

It's possible that at some point in the next year my boyfriend will move in with me. He is also applying to be a full time student, so I am trying to work out what loans he might be entitled to in Scotland.
As far as I can work out at the moment it is based on his own income as he is over 25 for the tax year 2014-15 and if he moves in with me after that it wouldn't make a difference to his funding? i.e. my income wouldn't need to be taken into account as his partner. Or am I missing something?

Hi all

Quick question I have a student loan which was taken out before 2012, which I have not paid back any of yet due to being out of work at the minute and never earning enough before to have to.

With inheritance if your parents leave you a house which you then sell or are left money from them is this then classed as income that the student loan company would want you to pay off your loan with or is it not classed as income????

A question about : Can i open two current accounts?

Hi i'm a student in my final year. i am with Barclays on a student current account. I have maxed out my overdraft by 2,000 pounds. I get no extra money from the loans company, as my parent earns over the line where i could get bursaries or grants. I'm looking to open ANOTHER bank account in a different bank, so i could get another overdraft. I work part time yet this is still not enough.

Am i able to open another bank account in my name when i have an overdraft in my other current account.

A question about : Over 25 Student Loan Application HELP!

I will be starting a full time PGCE in September as a mature student (29 years old) and as such, having lived away from home for 10 years, am obviously an Independent Student and Household Income figures wont be linked to parents!

A question about : child care and uni

just a quick question i know my dd can get 85% of her childcare cost upto a limit of Ј155 a week for one child when she starts at uni in sept 15
my question is will that cover 52 weeks a year or just term time?
