A question about : Smart Pig Loan Advice

It's getting toward the last few weeks of term and my girlfriend and I have totally ran out of money (overdrafts included) and lending off parents is out of the equation as they put down our Ј700 deposit on our flat for us. So I have looked at Smart Pig 'the loan company by students, for students' and before I go any further I need to know a few things:
-is there anything I'm missing
-are there any hidden costs
-is this company reliable.

Hello

While applying for my 24+ Advanced Learning Loan, my personal info was sent to another applicant in error, and I have proof of this. I have made a formal complaint.

What outcome can I reasonably expect? Do I have any right to compensation?

Hi.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I graduated September 2013, just checked my bank account and student finance have transferred Ј850 into my account......

Anyone had this happen to them ?

Thing is they have been contacting me for more evidence over the past 6 months saying I owe them money until they have evidence. We have now sent off all the evidence and I was wondering if maybe they found out they underpaid me ???

i notice in a lot of these posts students are very much in debt, and afterwards many of them have low paid jobs.
What is everyones view on being a student, is it really worth the hassle now.

Hey! I started Uni with a student account at HSBC which served me well, the rail cards a real gem. I'm from the south east and study in cornwall so i save about 30 quid per rail trip.

Just saw in todays financial mail the interest rate on student loans is going down from 3.1% to 2.6 % from september.
