Anyone do any little village displays of cottages etc?

Just starting one this year as was able to buy five battery models for Ј11 on Aces sale - plus I have a few from charity shops.

Started off by printing and laminating a background:

Then used boxes to add height and bought two metres of white lining for the snowy base;

I would like to buy some great white, red wine and bubbles for Christmas. Working on a budget could I please ask for some advise on the best wine to buy please? I usually like a merlot for red and a crisp sauvignon for a white wine, but seriously I am not expert! I would love some advise from others please.

Hello can anyone suggest a gift for a 13 year old girl. Not really a girly girl so smellies, makeup etc is no good but not really a Tom boy either. Have a book and chocs already but need the 'big present'. Looking to spend around Ј25 pound.

For Christmas I wanted to surprise some Parisian French friends with a gift of Champagne. But not the stuff they make in Champagne which is in France and in which they are drowning. No, I wanted to send them some of our superior English Champagne, for an education. Only I had a quick looked at the producer I knew, and the prices are English aargh, no doubt including every ridiculous tax. And then they are silly on top of that.
