A question about : Biggest Threats to Cyclists?

In the build-up to my commuting by bike had loads of people warn me about car, lorry and bus drivers, but have to say apart from a couple of near misses the biggest threats to me have been other cyclists and pedestrians!

As an example twice whilst riding home last night I had pedestrians step out in front of me at crossings. The lights had changed to green, I had started peddling, there's traffic moving behind me and people STILL stepped out into the road!

What is a point in buying a helmet when they cant be bothered to buy lights?

If cyclists are lit up then they are less likely to be knocked of in the first place?

A question about : train ticket question

hello

I have a prepaid return ticket from stevenage to kings cross

however I now need to travel a shorter distance from welwyn garden city instead which is about three stops down from stevenage (same date of travel)

Can I still use my stevenage to KC ticket ? ( I assume once on the train any inspector is not going to know where I got on the train )

if the barriers are closed at welwyn garden city then will they accept the stevenage to KC ticket & let me onto the platform ?

A question about : Cycling Light Recommedations?

Had nothing but good advise so far in this part of the forums so hoping for some more from the cyclists here.

I'm looking to purchase some lights for my cycling but i've never cycled at night on the roads before so never needed them.

Looking for something with the following if anyone can recommend.

Good battery life preferably with cheap to replace batteries, or rechargeable.
