A question about : Help! Bristol-Manchester open return, can I return to Bristol via York?

I will be travelling by train from Bristol to Manchester with an open (anytime) return tomorrow, and want to do a little detour to York for a couple of days afterwards.

A question about : East Coast train

I can't get any sense out of East Coast customer services...

I'm travelling from Grantham to Galashiels. The train goes to Berwick upon Tweed then it is bus from there to Galashiels and same in reverse.

My question is... do I have to go and find the bus station or is the bus at Berwick train station? On the way back, as there is no train station in Galashiels, is it just an ordinary scheduled bus service or a specified 'rail' bus service? In other words, how do I know which one to get on.

A question about : cheap train journey from northampton

my daughter travels from northamtpon to derby each friday. She has a young persons rail card. The journey costs Ј18.80 each time. I have not been able to find any cheal tickets. Please can anyone suggest ways to save money on this journey

My daughter received a fine for not travelling with a valid train ticket. She was taken to Court and was fined Ј182.00. She moved around a bit so didn't know about this until April this year. She then received a letter from Philips (bailiff? debt recovery?) with whom she entered into an arrangement to pay Ј65.00 per month.
