A question about : Compensation for train catering

We recently travelled with first TPE in 1st class, primarily because the 1st class tickets included food and drinks. The boards reported a trolley service but when we got on the train the conductor informed us there was no catering, and we therefore had nothing to eat or drink for the next 4 hours between Manchester and Glasgow.

A question about : Virgin Trains 6 Person ticket for Ј55 all in from Euston

I just found this deal (I think they did it last half term as well) where you get up to 6 people travelling as a family during February half term for just Ј55 return.

You have to travel from London Euston to the West Midlands area and you can have 2 adults and 4 kids or 1 adult 4 children etc.

What's the best site [if any] to book train tickets on for Newcastle to Luxembourg?? Or should I hit a travel agent???

Basically East Coast to London, Eurostart to Brussels and then train to Luxembourg,....is there a way of booking right through??

A question about : Compensation for Major Road Works

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place but couldn't see anywhere else to put it. Feel free to move it.

Anyway, I am living next to major roadworks which through evening work, general noise, cutting through our electricity supply and disruptions to travel for me locally. I had been informed by a neighbour that, living so close, we are able to claim compensation.

I'm sitting in a South Eastern railway train right now, queuing up to get into London Bridge and now very late for work.

This is a daily frustration for me and has become the norm.

I'm really at loss as to how one can fight back.

In case you hadn't spotted it or been notified the Club55 offer of travel for Ј19 anywhere in Scotland is back until the end of March.

Annoyingly it's been running since 12th January but Scotrail couldn't be bothered to inform me until a month later - I have complained but given their franchise ends soon I doubt whether they'll even respond.
