My washing Machine has decided to give up the Ghost on me and with 3 children I need to decide on a replacement quickly.
I Currently have a 9kg washing machine so would like one either the same size drum or bigger.
my Budget is around Ј420

Please help which would you all recommend and which would you avoid?

A question about : Help with Heating settings

Hi All,

Moved house recently and got my first bill and the gas alone came to around Ј137! the boiler is not a combi so I have a storage tank. I basically want to setup the heating such that its on permanently so that I wouldnt have to keep switching it off completely thereby requiring reheating the house all over again.

Can anyone advise please?

A question about : Conservatory drainage?

Hi there, we've had a conservatory built, almost but not quite finished. I've gone into the back garden and the guttering they've put on runs to a downpipe on the corner of the conservatory and straight onto the ground. Is this right?

A question about : Dremel multi tool alternatives ? have you used any ?

Have any of you used, or purchased alternative multi tools to the Dremel multi tool, which has a motor and many small round sanders?

(as the Dremel has had some customers unsatisfied customers), so asking about alternatives you have tried.

If you have had alternatives,
What make was it? where you buy it from?
how much did you pay for it, and was it good?

A question about : Bathroom suite

Hi all,

A question about : Bathroom Renovation

Looking to do a bathroom renovation asap. Its a small bathroom.

Looking at getting a whole suite and tiling all over inc floor.

We have a good network of tradesmen so we would be looking to use different people for the different parts etc.

Not looking for anything too fancy. Just a nice modern tiled room really.

Any advice or tips would be great.

One thing I am looking to find out is overall costs inc everything

A question about : To use undercoat or not?

I have stripped the wallpapers. In some walls, there are very fine hairline cracks.

Should I just paint 2 coats of emulsion (magnolia) on them or need to apply undercoat/primer first?

I see that undercoat is very expensive!

Also, I am not a fan of lining papers either.
