A question about : Overdraft and mortgage application

Hello everyone!
I've received a letter from my bank they would be willing to double my overdraft, if I spoke to them. I wouldn't mind my overdraft be increased, but I want to apply for mortgage in next two months. Will it affect my application? Advice please.

A question about : Amigo loans

Firstly, I am NOT considering using this company...
I'm just wondering if anyone actually has?
I've just seen the advert again, and I cannot understand how anyone, who reads this forum anyway,would use them?
Or more to the point, who would be the amigo? The one who actually ends up paying the loan when you don't?!
Anyone got any thoughts?

This is my first post so hope I'm doing it right!

I'm planning on retiring in around three years and want to be debt free by then.

I currently have 2 overdrafts at Ј2400 and Ј2150 which cost me around Ј80 in monthly fees. Also Ј1000 on a standard rate Halifax credit card. I pay Ј50 per month on it which is over the minimum payment.

I'm in the process of trying to improve my credit score.

I've held a Halifax reward account with a 250 OD since August 14. (Prior to this I had the easycash ac for 5 years which was used as my main a/c for four years)

In branch today I asked about the a credit card facility ( I already have a Barclaycard initial which I have used uber responsibly due to the awful interest rate I haven't paid Barclay's a penny in interest and settle in full every month)

Now to my question..

Looking to get a loan of about Ј25K for home improvements.

Recently got a mortgage.

Just wondering what the acceptance levels are like on Sainsburys and M & S??

Don't want to put a footprint on Credit History as its at Excellent at the moment.

Also for these two lenders what kind of proof do they ask for etc??

A question about : NHS bursary, owing back Money

Hi all

My partner has recently had a letter from the nhs saying she owes them back a large amount of money, to the sum of near 1.5k!
They have obviously worked out the sums wrong and overpaid her somehow!
Obviously this is not her fault and trusts what they pay her is the correct amount.
She now has to pay back this money and it is really stressing her out where she will find it!
Is there anything she can do about this as it is a mistake purely on there part?
