A question about : Home being sold

My husband has been told by HMRC that we have to sell our home by 1st March or it will be auctioned.
I have repeatedly asked them to review our case but no one seems to listen at all.
As we can raise the majority of the debt, why can they not consider that we pay them that and pay the remainder off over a few months as we have been doing?
It seems so insane to take a families home through no deliberate fault of their own and make a sole trader bankrupt thus making unable to work.
Is there anywhere I can still appeal to regarding this?
My little girl has asked Father Christmas if she can keep her bedroom.
Im at my wits end so if anyone can give any advice it would be appreciated.

Best answers:

  • When were you made Bankrupt? Have you been discharged?
As far as I am aware, Bankruptcy doesn't stop people earning a living, what gave you that impression? In reality, there isn't enough info in the question to give you any real answers unless you can expand somewhat.
  • From reading loads of posts on here, people who have gone bankrupt seem to be very happy now.
    They have no debt now.
They live more comfortably then they used to.
They have money in their pocket now.
There is no reason why you cant get a job, rent a house, and make it a new home for you and your family.
