A question about : Emirates Skywards Elite Credit Card

Hi every one, I have used the site a lot however this is my first post..

I have searched quite a bit on the internet looking for information about MBNA credit cards, more specifically the Emirates Skywards Elite Credit Card without much luck. Due to this I thought I would share my experience, having had one of these particular cards for almost 10 months now.

A question about : Santander refused a CC & offered Ј55k loan at the same time!

I applied to Santander (123 CC) and others to manage my balances on the 0% offer. Only a couple of grand but thought it was worth it. They refused me, quoting information provided by Experian. Surprised I temporarily joined Experian and after getting 996 on the score called them to ask why Santander had refused.

I'm new here so if this is in the wrong place then let me know.

Backstory: I've been self employed for the past 8 weeks. I offer services and expertise in my chosen field normally contract based work. I am currently taking 3 - 4 weeks off my normal contract work to develop some software that I can sell. I break just over even with my work, and have NO savings as they have all been invested into my business.

A question about : How best to pay for a hotel in Spain?

Hi for the first time we have booked direct with a hotel and cost is around say 1700 euro's. What is best to pay for the hotel with the Euro rate so good?

Do I put the 1700 euro's on a prepaid card and then pay for it when I get there?

Do I pay for bill on my existing credit card now? When rate is good it just wait until I get there?

Take cash(probably not a good idea)

Just not sure how best to pay when the sterling rate is so good at the moment

A question about : Does Santander contactless card request change number?

I rang to request a contactless version of my 123 card today and the customer service agent said my current card would be blocked while a new card was issued. However he could not say if the card number would change as a result, so I withdrew the request for the moment and said I would wait until renewed next year (too much hassle changing card cancellation protection and online sites).

Does anyone have any experience of this they could share? Will the card number change?

Below is a list of major financial companies which provide bank accounts, credit cards, mobile phone contracts, loans, home shopping catalogues, mortgages and motor finance which I will update with which agency they use to search and report to as people post it up.

A question about : Credit Card Fraud involving Blizzard Entertainment

Blizzard Entertainment are a reputable games company. I or my wife have never bought anything from them directly. I have 3 CCs. We are currently using one regularly, another is for foreign trips and a backup one.

On the Back up CC which we haven't used since Feb 2007, I just noticed 3 fraudulent transactions made to BLIZZARD-ENT*ELECUPGRD in US Dollars.
