I ordered a 128mb Olympus XD picture card for Ј29.80, the cheapest I could find on the internet. Placed the order at 4.59pm on thursday & received the card 9am the next day. Now that's what I call service !

luckily Id come across this scam before

a few days ago a guy in a plain white van knocked here with a parcel, now then I was in the garden and had watched him try to deliver the same parcel next door.

so I naturally assumed that he was asking me to take it in

no, he said " Mrs JOhnson?" "no" i replied

oh he says oh well I have this parcel for a mr Johnson at this adress.

A question about : Mobile Phone Scam

I have had a number of calls from Mobile Phone Companies telling me tat I can have a new phone when my one year contract is up.

Sometimes they say something like: 'Could we speak to the Orange Account holder?'.

I reply 'I am the Orange account holder'.

They then ask 'For security reasons could you please tell me your full name?'

I reply 'What is the name of the person you wish to speak to?'

They say 'We cannot tell you for Data Protection reasons'

I say 'What company are you calling from?'

Has anyone come accross National Home Buyers ????
They offer to buy your property for cash within 7 days of having a valuation done. Cost of valuation up front - approx Ј300. Fee refunded if offer accepted. Valuation done by local Agent.
Would appreciate any info.

A question about : Scam on the Royal Bank of Scotland

I had an email purporting to come from the RBS asking me to click on a link to confirm my details as their database had been upgraded.

I faxed this to RBS who confirmed it was a fraud.

The strange thing is I don't have any accounts with RBS in any of its various guises. RBS theory was that it was just being sent out on a random basis in the hope of trapping somebody.

A question about : Comping Computer

Does anyone know if everyinvestor.co.uk is a reputable company? E-mail received offering reduced rate to subscribe to comping computer (a weekly newsletter advising of genuine competitons to enter ). I am very wary of paying up front before I know who they are, they seem genuine, but so do a lot. Its not a lot of money and seems a bargain?

Anyone know of them? ??? ??? Thanks
