A question about : How long does an enhanced CRB take?

I have a standard CRB, done in June 07 (with the NHS).

I've changed department & I've had to apply for a CRB with my current employer (I didn't need one in my last dept).

Anyone know how long an enhanced CRB is taking at the mo?

Do you think the fact that I had a standard one done June 07 will speed it up?

My hubby has an enhanced CRB done, it took quite a while the first time, he thinks he remembers the second one being quicker.

A question about : resignation letter for not returning after maternity

I'm trying to write a resignation letter, as my company has *politely* refused my application for part-time hours on return to work from maternity leave.

So far i've got:

I write further to my meeting with ****** on 6th March 2008 and subsequent phone calls with the Human Resources Department.

I am writing to inform you that after my Additional Maternity Leave, which ended on 1st March 2008, and my 3 weeks annual leave, which ends 23rd March 2008, I have decided to resign

A question about : I have 'ASDA' MAGIC' assessment date. . what can i expect ?

Hi, very briefly i have an 'ASDA MAGIC' assessment date to attend but i wondered if anybody has been to a similar appointment with asda, what happens at the appointment ? and more importantly if and when do i get to hear if i actually have a job with them if i am successful . . do you get told of a job offer at this interview or do you find out after i've been ??

A question about : Anybody been employed after getting sacked for gross misconduct.

hiya all,
i was sacked at the beginning of august 2009 for gross misconduct for using 2 swear words.

at the moment i am doing my evening job with the local NHS and doing overtime.i know with the NHS that the overtime will stop sooner than later but was wondering if anybody has got a job since losing there last one through gross misconduct.

I'm sure I read on here at some point about there being work available marking exam papers and as exams are just around the corner I thought I would see if anyone knew anything about it - so any ideas on who I would contact and what qualifications you would need.

A question about : Principal (engineer) vs Senior (engineer): Who's the daddy?

Whilst job hunting I've come across a number of adverts for posts, with the same company, as both Principal & Senior Engineers.
The job descriptions are, pretty much, identical, & the salary for both is competitive. Anyone have any experience as to which is the higher grade?

A question about : Is Prince2 any good?

Im looking at developing my business analyst side of CV and thinking Prince2 project management stuff sounds ok, and am thinking about doing it

You can do a course for a grand which will get you the Foundation and Practitioner levels.

My question is, is this qual worth doing? Is college time necessary?
