I recently moved house and was shredding old bank statements from 10+ years ago.
Anyway, I came across a statement from 1996, and on it was a transaction I wanted to show my wife (for the nosey ones amongst you it was the transaction of the first time I took her out for a meal a couple of weeks after we met - she was a hell of a lot cheaper back then!!).
So I saved that one, and carried on shredding.

I'm going through the motions with the above, was paying the 'Additions' fees and more recently the 'Premier' fees for roughly 10 years (yes, i know)!!!! I was told on both occasions that 1 - i could only get an overdraft if i had the additions and then years later was told i could only get an increase in the overdraft if i upgraded to the Premier account. Never needed any of the benefits and have never used any of them, ever.

A question about : PPI reclaim 4 years after the initial application

Hi, I hope somebody can help or offer some guidance.

In 2011 I approached a third party PPI claim company (which knowing more about it now, I could have completed this myself, anyway). After several months I received a letter from the credit card company and then following this a letter from the PPI company stating that my claim was not upheld. The letter from the PPI company then stated that my case was closed. No Win No Fee, so I have not paid any fee.

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on an issue with Alliance & Leicester PPI.

A question about : I'm looking at my credit card and loan bills and there is no mention of insurance...

... Is this a fairly decent way of being sure that I never had PPI?

I remember specifically refusing to buy PPI when making applications for loans and credit cards, and all my bills only say what I borrowed and no other charges that I can see.

Should I be confident that I was never charged for PPI? Or could they have hidden this somewhere, or worked it into the whole cost without me ever seeing it?
