Reclaim Packaged Account

A question about : Reclaim Packaged Account

Hi guys,

I'm going through the motions with the above, was paying the 'Additions' fees and more recently the 'Premier' fees for roughly 10 years (yes, i know)!!!! I was told on both occasions that 1 - i could only get an overdraft if i had the additions and then years later was told i could only get an increase in the overdraft if i upgraded to the Premier account. Never needed any of the benefits and have never used any of them, ever.

Anyway, going through the motions with Barclays and have already sent them the form with all the details on why i am aggreived at paying for these accounts and why i'm reclaiming. The Barclays trackit site states they are yet to nominate a handler to my case.

Was just wondering if anyone knows what the timescales are like at the moment and what the likely outcome may be etc.

ANY advice/comments would be appreciated.

  The only question I would ask (Barclays will probably auto-pay anyway) is whether you needed the OD and how your credit rating was at the time? Did you not ask another bank about a free account to get the OD?

  Not sure what my credit would have been like at the time as was so long ago and as i was bit younger and naive i did everything through MY bank, it was a time when the trust was there a bit more that you did through whoever you were with, at the time. Now, myself and people are a bit more savvy and the market is a bit more open and accessible, i probably wouldn't necessarily rush off to use them.
