A question about : NI Craft Fairs 2010

Yes here it is folks, your one stop handy shop for all things craft fair-ish for 2010. Please feel free to post any details of any fairs you hear about for 2010, only suggestion is that you cut and paste any earlier list and add yours to it, then delete any on the list that have already happened so that we are always working from one list rather than lots of different postings which are hard to follow.

A question about : Restaurants to avoid

OK, to kick this thread off:

Quincy's in Lisburn - we were kept waiting tonight for 50 minutes, just for a main course of 2 burgers and 2 chicken dishes (which obviously just had to be deep fried).

Also, to the waiter who brought the food:

"May I have a glass of water please?"
"No, ask someone else."

I find it amazing that this item is proving to be one of the hardest to find toys this Christmas. I've tried the usual (Argos, Index, Toys'r'us), plus some of the smaller toy shops. In fact I was told that although Argos and Index have them in their catalog, they never actually had any to sell. They're on sale on ebay for Ј45 plus postage (markup of 60%). If anyone comes across one, could you keep me posted?

A question about : Buying out the ground rent (freehold?)

If I buy out the ground rent on my home, which I think I can do through Land Registry by paying the owner of the ground rent 8 years worth of ground rent, would this then mean that my home is now freehold?

Or does it simply mean that I no longer have to pay ground rent, but it's still not freehold? If this is the case, then after buying out the ground rent, how would I additionally make my property freehold?

A question about : M&S Sale extra discount...ends midnight

This has been widely advertised.....but it's possible to get even more for your money!

I was in Bloomfields (Bangor) this afternoon and a !kind member of staff told me this (she said that it was a mistake on the tills and that all the staff know about it but they aren't going to tell the managers until after they have got their discounts!)

Look out for multiple buy items.........
