A question about : changing a will

I have friends, without a great deal of assets, who already have wills and they are quite happy with the provisions in these.

One of their friends died recently and his wife is very unhappy with how the solicitor is dealing with the estate. So they have decided they would like to remove their solicitor from being executor.

I suggested going to a solicitor to get it changed, but they are reluctant to do this. (They may not want to tell him his services are no longer required!)

A question about : Free prescriptions for 60 year old

Hi,

My DH is now 60. I've just found out he will get free prescriptions and eye tests, but I can't seem to find out how he claims for them. Could someone tell me please?

Do over 60s still have to pay for a dental check up?

He is working full time, and neither of us claim any benefits.

A question about : About wills

I have a question about wills. My husband and I have mirror wills and have them in a large tin box along with all our other important paperwork. The solicitor that drew them up has since retired due to ill health so nobody could get confirmation from him if they got lost. My question is are wills registered and available to interested parties?

A question about : Mock Turtle neck sweater

I am having difficulty finding a jumper that is not acrylic and that has this type of neck. It is not a polo neck but does come up around the neck making it nice a warm to wear.

A lambs wool or something soft textured. Does anyone know where I could source one from. Not too pricey even better.

I have tried EWM and Bon Marche but again acrylic seems to be the norm.

A question about : Lasting Power of Attorney and students

I have LPA for my Aunt.
She's self funded in a care home.

Up until now I have only spent money from her account on the usual annual celebrations (birthdays/Xmas etc) for her relatives in the same manner that she had done for many years previously.

She would now like to help her great niece, my daughter, financially through uni. not with fees but a contribution towards living costs/rent etc.
