A question about : Statute barred & credit file enquiry

Thanks for your interest in this matter. I hope I will get a lot of useful response to this enquiry.

I have some debt namely personal loan, credit card and overdraft which I defaulted on a couple of year ago. I am hoping to put this behind me asap and start building my credit history again.

The reason for my enquiry is that I defaulted on the debts in 2009. Based on 'call credit report' via noddle 1 or 2 or the debt wasn't recorded as default after 2 or 3 missed payments as expected.

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of big stuff that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

A question about : Debt relief order

looked into token payments and now im looking into the debt relief order as I can easily remove my self from the mortgage, how do these work I owe less than 15k, not a home owner, and have less than 300 pound in assets (I think) so can anyone tell me abit more about them ? I hear you pay nothing to your creditors for 12month then after that your debt is wrote off ? sounds to good to be true so if theres anywhere to ask im sure its here

A question about : Disappearing debt

Hi. My hubby just rang 2 creditors to set up pay plans and they told him got sent back to the original companies and they have said we couldn't get in contact with him so just wiped th debt. Does this sound right. One of them he hasn't been in contact for a while but the other he has defiantly been paying in the last year.

I've got myself into a bit of a pickle financially. And having checked all the options I feel debt management is the way I need to go.

CAP do not operate near me or I would have sought help from them. Which other companies are reputable and will pay my money on time and keep the harassment at bay?

A question about : Council Tax Arrears & Low Income HELP!!!

I have approx Ј900 council tax debt from last year and have a Final notice for April 14 - Mar 2015 from the local Council.
The Ј900 bill has been passed onto Ross & Roberts with an additional Ј75 Compliance Stage Fee.

A question about : Need to tackle this head on!

I need to get my debt down to zero and there is no reason other then me liking to live a nice lifestyle with my children stopping me fro doing it.

I have a healthy income of Ј2415 a month.

My debts are as follows:
Littlwoods - 817.40
Next 1016.76
Aqua 748.29
Nationwide CC 4937.52
Car loan 4837.24
Very 818

The car loan is fixed and I am over paying buy a little bit each month on all the others (ie im making minimum payment plus around Ј20 per debt extra)
