A question about : Nationwide Mortgage DIP +CRA Question

I am about to look to moving home and will be applying to Nationwide for a mortgage. I have done all the affordability checks usimng their online tools and would be within what I am looking for.

(Due to the nature of the property I am looking for, I would have to move speedily - smallholdings are like hens teeth!)

About my situation, i have always known around the age of 30 i would inherit my fathers house for a minimal sum, so had my farther so he let it go and never properly maintained it saved all his cash for his new home.

So here i am at 29 bought my fathers house for Ј5000 no mortgage i own it outright, its only a 3 bed terraced house worth around Ј85k but i need to do so much to it, Boiler and full system, electrics, carpets, plaster all walls ceiling etc.

Hi,

I bought my house in 2012 for 90k but the home report valuation was Ј115,000 I believe. I'd like to remortgage it for this price if possible and borrow money to move to another property for BTL purposes. My current deal with Halifax ends in 2018 though.

Is this possible to do?

My house should still be worth it as I have a BTL property 2 doors down in which the home report was carried out in December and it stated a Ј115,000 valuation

I am looking for advice as my mortgage adviser has confused me!

My parents want me and my husband to have their current house when they move out. They have agreed to gift us two thirds of it if we can take out a mortgage on the final third. (around Ј100,000).

Our mortgage adviser says this is a special case and only specific lenders will allow this.

A question about : Using credit card during mortgage application

Hi,

Easy question which will help me greatly! Our mortgage has recently went to the application stage and hopefully should go to offer by next week. Would using a credit card this week (Ј500 from a 4k limit for example) have a negative impact on the application? I'm really paranoid I do something wrong!

Can anyone help to say if I would be better off switching current mortgage deals?

Currently have term just under 16yrs left and 131k left to pay on mortgage and early repayment charges and redemption which would bring balance to Ј133,500. I overpay to Ј1300 p/m.

Want to reduce the term and take advantage of low rates out there at the moment. Quick scan on money advice service:

Tesco bank 3yr fixed 2.29% Ј195 fee borrowing Ј133k to cover mortgage would be Ј1360p/m, but this is only a 9yr term.

A question about : First Time Mortgage Question

I'm 31 years old me and my partner are trying to clear our feet of debt we had since our 20's.. we are in a council house but i really want to buy our own place, but i did the math and i may not have a decent enough deposit until im around 40 can a first time buyer still get a mortgage at 40? thank you
